Wifi routers

To connect wifi devices (Laptop, Smartphones) with the network you can use a wifi router. These must meet some specific requirements to be compatible. On some network sockets it might be necessary for the router to support DHCP/PPTP-VPN in dual wan mode.

Especially not suitable are DSL/VDSL Router or wifi access points. For an undisturbed wifi connection in the dorm, due to the high number of wifi networks (many rooms) we recommend newer router models preferably with wifi 6 standard.

For other and not listed wifi routers or connections we cannot give a functional guarantee.

The following wifi routers are tested and work fine on all connection variants:

We cannot provide any support for non-listed wifi routers. In addition we cannot guarantee proper function in our network.
