Static IP

You can request a static IPV4 (address) at the network tutor. Only a few static IPV4 are available. The request must include a sufficient reason. Remote access is not a sufficient reason, because you can do the same by DynDns service using ports 50000-50010 . The standard reason for a static IP is a own server. If a user gets a static IPV4, the user gets a special user name for the internet login. After login using this user name the user have the static IP.

Without a assigned IPV4 adress, a login using zxxxxx-ipy is possible. You will get a dynamic IPV4 address and a static IPV6 prefix assigned.

If you use a static IP, more ports are open than using a dynamic IP. You can find the open ports on the page Firewall.
