How much data volume do I have?
Your free volume, how it's counted differently depending on the time of day, and what happens once it's used up.
StudNet Bonn is a high-speed network, considerably faster than a regular (V)DSL connection. That makes it easy to use up a large amount of data quickly – which is why there's no flat rate, but a monthly free volume per user.
Your free volume
You get 6144 GByte (6 TByte) per month for incoming data (downloads). How much a transfer counts against this volume depends on the time of day:
- 10 am to 6 pm: 100% – counts normally
- 6 pm to midnight: 400% – counts quadruple
- Midnight to 10 am: 0% – happy hour, not counted
Data transferred within StudNet itself doesn't count.
What happens once it's used up?
Once your free volume is used up, your connection is throttled to 2048 kBit/s (2 MBit/s) between 10 am and midnight. You can add more volume via PayPal.
